See their mouthes Moving like chewing Silence is littered with words Eye pollution Billboard signs Traffic signals Words march across the bottom of your TV A winter's night From JFK Parrots escape They nest around a sport field's lights Enrolled at Queens University Keep warm

Sun in NY 03:46
Sun gleams on the bridges on the waters around New York The people out walking their dogs on a leash in the park Girls in their skirts showing lean clean leg All the dark jagged buildings bite into the vital blue sky And the sun revitalizes New York The son revitalizes New York The sun sets everything in motion Exciting molecules in an unseen ocean The son revitalizes New York And the man in the rest room stall He's barely breathing at all He's toxic (because he's inebriated) He's waiting (but doesn't know it yet) For his trip to Saturn Sun Ra Signs in the streets saw people lining up this night Half a million breaths rise into space For Herve Villechaise is waiting at the portal

What's so great about being rich and lonely? Don't you know, money can't buy happiness? I know you've heard this before But still you don't believe it Look at Phil and Ronnie Spector He enclosed her behind his wall An afro wearing bald skinny jewish white man Crazy producer Living Out of balance Money can't buy happiness Money can't buy happiness Still you don't believe it

I look for words that mean something Insect insect insect Words so strange no one would sing Insect insect insect Soft machines that whirl and hum Fold inside a suitcase Can you shut your mind off now? Imagine nothingness It snows in July Australia Whale song pings off of sea canyons It carries off beyond our skies Into the universe it cries The sounds of screaming playing kids On the beach the ocean fizz It's midnight now in Tel Aviv Victims' families curse and grieve These sounds combine in sonic soup That spills into the universe That spills into the universe That spills into the universe That spills into the universe That spills into the universe

I found my way past your standard defenses I found a breach in your social wall Even while your boyfriend's in you stimulating Ricochet inside your head Leave me seed to grow Oh Every synapse fires and says I was mistaken To think that I could have you in the conventional way But alas my dear lass I know There's only 2 holes I can go to enter you And I do Leave my seed Leave my seed Leave my seed

about

B.Love's 2nd and final album is an ambient masterpiece. Of course, I'm biased! If indeed it is, that's for your ears to decide.

These recordings are made available in memory of Brian Cook. I'm honored to have worked with him. He was a great guy, great musician and free spirit.

An immense thank you, also, to Keith and Lynn Lee for bringing B.Love together to begin with!

about

Black Love Athens, Georgia

Whirrd! Summer 2001, Georgia, USA. Rich Hudson hadn't been in a band since the demise of Atlanta's "BOB" in '99. Brian Cook left the Atlanta music scene in the mid 90s after bass-ing for Pineal Ventana, The Titanics and Accustat. Taste here the swampy electronic provocations shrouded in humorous pop unpleasantness. But, "Don't be alarmed, It's just a house trying to look like a space ship". ... more
