Uncle Scam 05:20
Government smack but the government tragic- ally Professes it protects our rights to live Free But the government gets into everything It wants you to believe You can't live independent without its Blanket of security It feeds and feeds It feeds Until everyone is feeding But no one's providing nourishment

Brunette Bedouin baby You lookin good all covered up Love the way you prey! Your men are out burning effigies You're like a disease Oh to follow through Remember the towers All those people All fall down Catatonic sinister They kill Israeli minister Then scurry back into their holes Israeli tanks begin to roll Again again they playing war You'd think they'd grow eventually bored

Herd 03:37
A new expedition into the old mine Looking for answers to what lay behind Led to a room that was easy to find Littered with bones, rotting books of old rhyme Who needs a flashlight to see through the dark night? The party went further and echoes were heard Who'd been here before and what they had learned Food became scarce they had feasted on turd Huddling in shame like a malnourished herd

Plum & Froth 03:26
Here's to no regret For sexy sow Annette We lay in her dorm all night She kept concealed her sex I'm not talkin about anything at all I suspect her Roman Catholic Puerto Rican blood and the image of her scolding father hovering above Blued my balls like toilet cleaner Blue with every flush Sometimes you know I think of her with ready hand Envisioning her succulent vulvic plum Thy f(roth) doth rise again

No one really wants to know About how you pulled it off No one really wants to hear About it You keep talkin' You're putting me to sleep Don't you ever get sick of yourself? When I woke this morning It was a strange year Found I could identify Found I could identify with no one here

about

Black Love EP # 001 is, according to critics:

The presentation is pretty basic, but minimalism is almost always better than overkill, and the neutral presentation leaves you completely unprepared for the gorgeous melodies lurking between the examples of oddness. In essence: Swank-o-la. –RFK March 8th, 2004 from online zine “Dead Angel”

Although extremely understated in both presentation and production, the debut EP from electronic duo Blacklove manages to kick up a few strikingly beautiful songs. Gems from #001 like "uncle scam" and "burning effigies" are testaments to both compelling lo-fi songcraft and the idea that atmospherics are just as convincing in five-minute songs as they are in more long-winded exercises. "Heard" deftly bridges the gap between the EP's electronic and acoustic sides, introducing acoustics and brass. - Michael Delano, Weelky Dig, Boston.

about

Black Love Athens, Georgia

Whirrd! Summer 2001, Georgia, USA. Rich Hudson hadn't been in a band since the demise of Atlanta's "BOB" in '99. Brian Cook left the Atlanta music scene in the mid 90s after bass-ing for Pineal Ventana, The Titanics and Accustat. Taste here the swampy electronic provocations shrouded in humorous pop unpleasantness. But, "Don't be alarmed, It's just a house trying to look like a space ship". ... more
